Size Guide
How to Choose the Right Vent Size
Selecting the correct vent size is simple once you know what to measure. Follow the steps below to find your perfect fit.
Step 1: Measure Your Vent Opening
Measure the inside dimensions of the duct opening in the floor — not the outer frame. You need two measurements:
- Width — the shorter dimension
- Length — the longer dimension
For example, if your opening measures 4 inches wide by 10 inches long, you need a 4x10 vent.
Step 2: Match to Your Vent
Our vents are named by their duct opening size (width × length). Here's a quick reference:
| Vent Size | Duct Opening |
|---|---|
| 2x10 | 2.25" × 10" |
| 2x12 | 2,25" × 12" |
| 2x14 | 2.25" × 14" |
| 4x10 | 4" × 10" |
| 4x12 | 4" × 12" |
| 4x14 | 4" × 14" |
| 6x10 | 6" × 10" |
| 6x12 | 6" × 12" |
| 6x14 | 6" × 14" |
Step 3: Choose Your Style
- Modern Vent — Clean lines and a minimalist profile, ideal for contemporary interiors.
- Classic Vent — Traditional detailing that complements period and transitional homes.
